We spent the New Year in St Louis this year. We had a grand time.

When We Suffer

The blessed the righteous show that many stories in scripture demonstrate that the righteous are not spared from trials. Consider Job, the blameless and upright, the servant of God who becomes Satan’s target and suffers as few ever will. The apostle Peter tells us not to be surprised at out suffering. Jesus himself tells us that in this fallen world we will have troubles, but Jesus overcomes the world and it’s suffering and sin, so believers in him will stand firm spiritually no matter what the circumstances. We may have many problems, but our deepest since of well being and spiritual security can never be threatened. Our emotions in response to suffering may, like Job’s, run the gamut; but our abiding faith will glorify God and be remembered by those who watch us overcome.

I have seen people who have hardly nothing give more than people who have so much, and people who suffer the most have more of a positive spirit, much more positive than those who should have no suffering in their lives at all. If you look at the patients that I work with, the ones who should be in the most suffering pain are the ones who often speak of it less than those who shouldn’t have a care in the world.

Suffering

If God is such a good God, why does he allow suffering? I have attempted to understand this. I have seen so many of my patients go though so much pain and suffering, you would think it’s cruel of God to allow such pain and hard to understand why. You may ask if we have a loving God why does this happen? But have you thought that this is the time they usually cry out to God, and this is the time many of them become closer to God. That during this time of suffering they somehow get the chance to come closer to God and set things right in their lives. So if you look at suffering that way, suffering is a good thing. Sometimes it makes you a better person.

The end of the year came for Summer's 2006 Kindergarden Class and now it's time for summer break...but Summer's class had camera day and she got lots of pictures of her class. Summer loves to take pictures....She's a real photo queen.

While I was at Tinker AFB on a job this week, I was put in contact with Mr. and Mrs. Hess through Brad, who met up with them at one of Leah's fast-pitch softball games. Life at Tennessee State University

Hi I’m Ann Stewart…I’m a pre-med student at TSU who is trying to get into med school…I don’t know if I will make it or not, but I’m going to try….Here are some people I have met along the way at college. (click on any picture to make it larger)

This is Professor Russ Daily…He’s my medical Law and Ethics professor at High Tech Institute….He’s my favorite professor at High Tech….I had him for 2 classes at High Tech and I scored over a 100% in both of his classes, cause he really makes it to where you understand the material and he’s a great teacher. I call him Jesus and tell him I pray to him every day. (Joking of course)

I'm not sure Summer enjoys hearing how much she looks like her mommy...but she does look like her mommy...All the Bohannon's (which is Ann's side of the family) says Summer looks just like Ann when Ann was a little girlthe same age as Summer...Poor Summer...She had to look just like her mommy...This is Momma Ann trying to give Summer a piggy back ride...At least the 2 look-a-likes can have fun together.

Chris and I took the kids to the bounce factory for their friend Justin’s birthday party….Happy Birthday to little Justin who just turned 3….Carrigan jumped right in and so did his sister Summer, but their brother Jethery Cameron wouldn’t do anything. Cameron would even go near the giant jump toys…Well maybe next year he won’t be scared.

Summer went to her swimming lessons today…Ms Peggy her swimming instructor said Summer was the top in her class. She said Summer is not afraid to do anything and Summer just jumped right in right away and starts swimming. I told her daddy Chris that we many have a future Olympic swimmer in the family.

This is me and our cousin Trevor…Trevor does all the 4th of July family festive things….He really puts on a show with the fireworks and every October at Halloween Trevor owns his own Slaughter House Horror place…It seems like when we go there is always a long line of young teens who want to be scared to death…The Slaughter House is a pretty popular place in Nashville Tennessee around Halloween. Trevor is the coolest.

This is Christopher Michael Stewart…He’s driving his family to the 4th of July fire works. He’s such a good daddy. I wonder if he knows how much he is loved. His wife Ann says she asked him to marry her when they were working together at the Sheriff Office. They met and fell in love while working in a prison. Does that really sound romantic? Ann says she still thinks he’s the most beautiful sweetest man in the world.

This is our daughter Summer Sierra Stewart snorkeling about in the pool. Summer is in swimming and dance lessons and is at the top of her swimming class. Her instructor put her in the advanced course cause she said Summer is just not afraid of the water and on the 4th of July she proved it cause she swam all day long.

This is Cameron Stewart. He is sitting in his car seat on the way to the 4th of July fireworks that his Uncle Trevor has bought for him…He is so excited…He can’t wait to jump in the pool and jump on the trape-o-lean. It’s a short ride to Jolton, Tennessee where his Uncle Trevor and Aunt Karolyn live. Than he gets to play with his Great Aunt Becky and all his cousins. We call him “Cam Bam.”
